Hospitality and Leisure Sector Grants Announced

The Government announced a £1bn package of support for hospitality and leisure businesses on 21 December 2021. The package will provide one-off grants of up to £6,000 per business premises and additional local government funding for local authorities to support local businesses.

In recognition of the severe impacts the Omicron variant is having on the hospitality and leisure sectors at a time when they would ordinarily be most profitable, the government has confirmed it will act to support affected organisations.

The grants will be administered by local authorities and will be made available in the coming weeks.
