How do I notify you of a bereavement?

If somebody you know who has an account with Creative Pension Trust has died, we can help you with making arrangements for their pension.

If you are a next of kin or you have been appointed to oversee somebody’s estate after they have passed away, you may need to contact us to let us know. If the person was employed and paying into their pension account with us, we may also be informed by the deceased’s employer.

Once we have been notified, we will write to you to request:

  • A copy of the death certificate
  • Some completed dependants’ forms
  • Confirmation of will, and a copy where applicable

Once we have received this from you, this information will be provided to our Board of Trustees, who oversee the payment of all death benefits to beneficiaries. Once a decision has been made, all beneficiaries will be contacted and asked to complete a payment mandate so that we can make any payments to them.
