Improved Employee Engagement
Flight Safety International
FlightSafety International (FlightSafety) is the world's leading aviation and marine training company. They work diligently to maintain and enhance their reputation for customer service and for the industry's most comprehensive safety training. FlightSafety has built the world's largest fleet of the most advanced full flight simulators in the market today.
The key to accomplishing their mission is investing in their most important asset – their employees. They understand the value of providing a highly competitive and comprehensive employee benefit plan that is well communicated and appreciated. In 2008, unhappy with some aspects of their group pension plan, they carried out a full review of their adviser and pension provider to ensure that their arrangements were as competitive as possible.
Their priority was to find a new adviser whose services were suited to a business their size, who could ensure their pension benefit arrangements were relevant, who had comprehensive communication services, and who could negotiate highly competitive charges on their behalf. They felt it was also important that they appointed an adviser with whom they could build a long term relationship.
Tracey Clough, FlightSafety's HR Manager, said "After meeting various members of Creative Benefits sales and client management teams it was clear that they could satisfy the needs of our company and our employees. They were highly experienced and professional and offered a very good fit for FlightSafety's business."
Working closely with FlightSafety, Creative Benefits (Creative) organised a number of group presentations and individual consultations where all employees received specific advice about the pension plan and the new services and benefits available. By using their sophisticated "PenCal" pension projection system, at all individual consultations Creative were able to help members understand what the FlightSafety pension plan meant for them, and what their total pension would likely be at retirement. This included State benefits and any other pension benefits they may have accumulated.
All announcement material produced by Creative, and the new provider AEGON, was easy to understand and simple, straightforward and stylish.
"We are delighted with what Creative Benefits have done, and the work they continue to do. We feel our staff understand and value the pension benefits we provide them" says Tracey "even members of staff who had never joined our plan decided to join"
